Irish indie-folk-pop band The Vibes, based in Drumshanbo, Co. Leitrim, recently released their debut album “Penny for Your Thoughts” on December 12th, 2025 to a sold out show in The Workmans Club, Dublin . The record captures the band’s refined sound developed over years of writing, performing, and studio work, presenting a cohesive collection of tracks shaped by their melodic sensibilities and layered acoustic arrangements.

The album features key singles “Battle Scars,” “Head Over Heels,” and “Where I Wanna Be,” alongside new material that highlights the group’s hallmark harmonies and contemporary pop-leaning production.

Production credits include acclaimed Irish producer Ger McDonnell and multi-Grammy Award–winning producer Greg Wells, whose résumé includes work with artists such as Adele, John Legend, Dua Lipa, Celine Dion, and Twenty One Pilots.

The Vibes have already established a strong national presence. Previous singles — including Where I Wanna Be, Christmas Feels Different, Head Over Heels, and Just Another Love Song — all reached the Irish Top 20, supported by substantial radio play and steady streaming growth.

Their music has been playlisted across major Irish outlets including RTÉ 2FM, RTÉ Radio 1, Today FM, Virgin Media Television, Shannonside FM, Northern Sound, Midwest Radio, Ocean FM, 98FM, SPIN 1038, and FM104, as well as featured on platforms such as Hot Press, JOE.ie, and IMRO.

Blending folk-driven instrumentation with polished pop production, The Vibes draw on influences reminiscent of Snow Patrol and Dermot Kennedy while remaining grounded in the musical character of the West of Ireland.

Penny for Your Thoughts marks a significant milestone for the band as they enter their next chapter with a fully realized debut release.
